2. How to Participate |
Leaving Your Legacy™ is a scheme directed by Dr Michael Brennan who is a qualified professional researcher and accredited member of the Australian Association of Genealogists & Record Agents. From his vast array of resources it is possible to sensitively and cheaply immortalise memories of an individual’s family history by a researcher visiting those wanting to leave a lasting legacy for the purpose of preparing a professionally researched, collated and printed family history. |
3. Costs |
Costs are minimised as Dr Brennan’s computer based research is supported by a unique collection of historic publications, CDs, in-house digital databases and international network of genealogists established over 40 years. The Leaving Your Legacy program focuses on retirement villages and nursing homes meaning that several projects can be conducted at the same time with substantial financial savings. At a fixed fee of $999 Leaving Your Legacy™ documents four generations extending from the grandparents to the children of the person instigating the study. This research can be further extended into the family’s ancestry by arrangement. |
4. Rewards |
All too often there are regrets that a family’s ancestry was not recorded before the passing of a loved one. Leaving Your Legacy™ is a fee for service program to enable senior members of our community to have their family histories professionally researched and recorded for future posterity. While the internet and digital data may provide answers to many of these family history questions, many elderly members of the community do not have the technical skills to trace their family history while for others there is the realisation that the cost of subscriptions to websites can become excessive. Conversely, for many of the younger generation they do not wish to approach the subject with the elderly family members as it may be considered ‘distasteful’ or more often simply do not have the time. Leaving Your Legacy overcomes all the problems! |
